THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT AND SOUTHEAST NEW YORK...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...
  NORTHERN FAIRFIELD...NORTHERN MIDDLESEX...NORTHERN NEW HAVEN...
  NORTHERN NEW LONDON...SOUTHERN MIDDLESEX...SOUTHERN NEW HAVEN
  AND SOUTHERN NEW LONDON. IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK...NORTHEASTERN
  SUFFOLK...NORTHWESTERN SUFFOLK...ORANGE...PUTNAM...SOUTHEASTERN
  SUFFOLK AND SOUTHWESTERN SUFFOLK.

* FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.

* RAIN WITH AN APPROACHING FRONTAL SYSTEM SHOULD BECOME HEAVY AT
  TIMES WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. STORM TOTAL
  RAINFALL OF 2.5 TO 3.5 INCHES INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS
  WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLOODING OF URBAN...LOW LYING AND POOR
  DRAINAGE AREAS...AND FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE
ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO
FLOODING SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING
DEVELOP.
