Today is, unfortunately, not going to be a pleasant day. At least it will be warm, with temperatures in the mid-60s, however...it's going to be raining for the vast majority of the day today. Even more unfortunate is that the front now looks like it will stall just to our southeast and a storm will develop along it, causing another wet day tomorrow as well. UGH. By Sunday...temps will plummet with highs in the 30s, 50-60mph wind gusts, and snow which could be heavy at times and pile up if you are unfortunate. It wouldn't surprise me if someone in Connecticut got a few inches (3"?) in one of the heavier bands that sets up...I cannot even rule out thundersnow! Behind that, we get about 12 hours of a break until another bigger storm moves in for Monday night and Tuesday with a more widespread accumulating snow...although just how much lies in waiting is tough to tell right now.
Today in weather history- April 1, 1997- The biggest surprise in recent memory. As forecasts call for a snowstorm, many people write it off as an April Fool's trick...but it was not as a monster blizzard drops over 2 feet of snow on parts of the region, and Boston receives a top 5 all time snowfall and Hartford sees over a foot of accumulation. Yikes! Although these snow events coming up are significant for April, it certainly is nothing like this one!

I wish everyone here a very happy April and Opening Weekend in the baseball world.
