2/22- STORM WATCH- Decent today, snow tomorrow night

Good Monday all-

Today is going to be a pretty good day all in all, although there is some ice on the roads this morning as temps are below freezing and the rain moved through last night, but I don't really think this is too big of an issue. What will be a big issue is tomorrow night, but first we get a nice day today with temps in the low 40s and partly sunny conditions. Most of tomorrow should be decent as well, with increasing cloudiness and 40 degree temps. Unfortunately, after that, I have to post this...

A weak coastal system is going to be moving up the coast and...although temps will be warming...they won't get to freezing in time, and we have some fairly major problems coming for the Wednesday morning commute. Naturally, these numbers could go either way pretty easily, but I think this is a fairly safe bet for the time being. If this is correct, it's one of those tough calls for superintendents, but I suspect that most would opt to close. Beyond that, a major (and I mean major) rainstorm is likely for Thursday which yields a STORM WATCH as the odds of an inch of rain are >60%.

Today in weather history- February 22- There are no particularly noteworthy weather events that have occurred on this day, which is fairly surprising as snowstorms are common this time of year (obviously)
